Sustainability-  South Carolina Shavings is very proud to be SC Certified and support sustainable forestry.  At SCSP, we can say, we know exactly what goes in our bags and where it comes from.  We work with Loggers throughout the state.  As the pine comes in, we inspect all logs prior to processing.  We maintain the integrity of the pine until it leaves our plant in bulk or in a bag.  We use the whole tree, leaving no waste.  Our furnace is fueled by the dust that is left over during the shaving process.  No chemicals are used in the production of our bags.  We work with sustainable loggers and support the forestry replanting initiative.  Although we are concerned with the environmental sustainability of the forest, we are also committed to ensuring that we chose only the best pine for our products to ensure that your barn/facility stays healthy.
